Mary Blair's 100th Birthday - An Illustration Icon

An Icon on the History of Illustration

Mary Robinson Blair (Oklahoma 1911-California 1978) was a bright artist who joined the team of creation of Disney studios in 1940. She worked as Art Director for the main Disney animated films.

Mary developed characters such as Alice in Wonderland or Peter Pan. She left Disney to dedicate to her own paintings, although she collaborated with them again later on.

Gone too soon at the age of 67 she will always remain in our memory as one of the biggest Illustrators of the History.
